The characteristics of molecular and cellular research

Within humanity, individuals possess their own unique characteristics. Society is formed through the aggregation of these disparate characteristics, akin to the cellular or molecular realm. While various cell types, such as muscle, epithelial, immune, and neuronal cells, exist in abundance, it is not widely acknowledged that even within a cluster of cells of the same type, individual cells possess distinct characteristics. The behavior of individual molecules also exhibits this phenomenon.

Regrettably, when analyzing a group of mixed cells or molecules as a whole, information on the individual level is lost. Recently developed technologies for investigating single cells or single molecules have revealed these previously unknown individualistic differences. Our goal is to utilize these technologies to make strides in personalized diagnosis, drug development, and a deeper understanding of molecular mechanisms.
